Stormwater Assessment & Design Support Services

As one of our primary areas of focus, Element offers an array of stormwater design support and infiltration testing services for residential, commercial, and public facility developments across western Washington.  State and local regulations commonly dictate that a project must undergo a site-specific review of soil and groundwater conditions to determine the optimal stormwater management design strategy, including infiltration where feasible. Our staff has the expertise and past project experience to provide reliable site assessments in support of civil stormwater design. Element’s licensed professionals work closely with engineers and designers to address project stormwater management aspects. Our staff has contributed geological expertise to stormwater design for countless projects throughout western Washington and we are confident we can help your project find the most effective means of stormwater management. Our stormwater-related services include:

  • Stormwater Infiltration Design Assessment
  • Stormwater Feasibility Evaluations
  • Stormwater Control & Outfall Guidance
  • Infiltration Rate Determination
  • Pilot Infiltration Testing (PIT)
  • Groundwater Level Monitoring
  • Stormwater Facility Construction Verifications
  • Assessments for Drainage Protections/Mitigations

In-House Collaboration

Element’s unique relationship with our affiliate company, Pacific Surveying & Engineering, Inc. This event highlights the power of our river systems, and shows the importance of monitoring, mapping, and modeling our drainages so that we can predict and prepare for similar events in the future.
